Know Before You Go

  • The pocket guide will be available at check-in. 
  • The ExOrdo app has the full conference schedule, including all evening events and Birds of a Feather sessions.
  • Conference check-in will be available in the Gatton Student Center (160 Avenue of Champions) at the following times.
    • Sunday, July 28, 7:30am-5pm (GSC 221E)
    • Monday, July 29, 8am-5pm (GSC 221E)
    • Tuesday, July 30, 8am-2pm (GSC 231)
  • Parking - Cornerstone Garage (409 S Limestone)
    • Parking in Cornerstone garage is free on Saturday and Sunday. Parking passes available at check-in to use the remainder of the week.
    •  If you arrive on Monday, use the drop off lane at the Gatton Student Center (160 Avenue of Champions) to check-in to conference and pick up parking pass. 
  • Residence hall check-in is available 24/7 at the front desk of the residence hall.
    • Note that attendees on the 4th floor of Jewell Hall will not be able to check-in until after 4pm on Sunday, July 28. Attendees staying in these rooms will be notified via email.
    • A luggage hold room will be available in the Gatton Student Center on Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday for those needing to store luggage before check-in to or after check-out from hotel/residence hall. 
    • Temporary street parking is available on Martin Luther King Blvd and Lexington Ave during check-in to the residence hall. Use your flashers and move your car to the garage after check-in.

    • Boyd Hall - 121 Campus Drive
    • Blazer Hall - 326 S Martin Luther King Blvd
  • Presenters should review the relevant information under Presenter Information and Poster Presenter Information.
  • Poster sessions will be held on Monday and Tuesday evenings at 6 and 7 pm. in the Gatton Student Center.
  • Registration for additional workshops can be done on-site at check-in for those with remaining seats.
  • Workshops using chemicals require appropriate safety attire (long pants, closed-toed shoes, and splash-resistant full coverage safety goggles).
  • Join us for our opening plenary speaker, Dr. Maria Gallardo-Williams, on Sunday, July 28 at 5 pm
  • Tours of the James B. Beam Institute (https://beaminstitute.ca.uky.edu/) will be available on Monday, July 29 at 10 am, 11 am, 1 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm, and 4 pm. A limited number of spots are available on each tour. Sign-up for the tour will open on Monday, July 22 at 3 pm ET and close on Friday, July 26 at 3 pm ET. Sign-up at https://bit.ly/beamtour 
  • The exhibit hall will have peak hours at the following times in the Gatton Student Center Grand Ballroom.
    • Sunday, 6:30-9:00 pm
    • Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, 11:45 am-2:00pm
    • Monday and Tuesday, 5:30-8:00 pm
    • Hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar will be available each evening.
  • The closing reception will be on Wednesday, July 31 in the Gatton Student Center Harris Ballroom from 6:30-10:00 pm.
    • Al D. Hyde and the Key Tones will be performing!
    • Hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar will be available.
  • Meals and breaks
    • Lunch in Champions Kitchen (Gatton Student Center, 1st floor) is included for all attendees on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Meal tickets will be provided when you pick up your badge.
      • Champions Kitchen is open from 11am-2pm for lunch.
    • For those staying in residence halls, breakfast will be provided each morning. Details will be provided when you pick up your badge.
    • Break service will be available in the Chemistry-Physics and Jacobs Science Buildings in the morning and afternoon (see schedule for times). 
      • Coffee, hot tea, and water will be provided at each break.
      • Attendees will receive a "snack bag" at check-in to enjoy throughout the week. This helps keep the conference more affordable.

  • Can I access a gym on campus? Yes! Alumni Gym (located in the Gatton Student enter) and the Johnson Center offer single-entry guest passes for $10 for conference attendees. Bring your conference badge and payment (card, tap to pay or check) to access the gym. 
    • Alumni Gym - Monday-Friday, 6am-6 pm
    • Johnson Center - Monday-Friday, 6am-9pm; and Saturday-Sunday, 12pm-4pm
